Frequently Asked Questions 

How long do the workouts take? 

It varies, but they are generally 30-45 minutes, plus the warmup. In almost all cases you will be done in less than an hour. The intro and drill videos are typically 5-7 minutes each. 

I'm not completely new to rowing but I'm looking for a program I can do to help me get better at it. Is RowReady for me?

Absolutely! We've had long-time rowers and rowing coaches participate in the program and love it! 

Is this course appropriate for instructors?  

YES! In fact it's the perfect intro to our instructor certification. If you're thinking about getting certified, RowReady will help you get solid with your own technique, and super comfortable with the basic drills you'll need to teach a successful, popular class.  

How long will the videos and other course material be available after the 6 weeks end?  

You will have lifetime access to the course materials!  

I don't have a rowing machine at home, I only row at the gym. Will I be able to see the videos on my phone so I can do the workouts there?  

Yes! This course is designed to be done anywhere you can find a rowing machine. We do recommend watching the intro videos to the workouts ahead of time so that once you sit down on your machine you're ready to go.  

Do I need any other equipment besides a rowing machine?  

Not to do the main part of the course. As the 6 weeks go on you may have opportunities to try some of our signature interval workouts that feature rowing combined with off-machine exercises, but there will always be an option to do bodyweight-only moves. 

I'm brand new to rowing. Is this course for me?  

Absolutely! We designed this course specifically with the beginning rower in mind.

Do I have to have a Concept2 rower?  

Nope! The workouts are designed with the Concept2 in mind, but they can all be adjusted for any rower as long as it registers your meters rowed.  

Do you have to have a specific level of fitness to be able to do this program?  

Nope! We will meet you where you are, just as the rowing machine does.

Can I get a refund If I'm not satisfied?  

If, at the end of the program, you feel you haven't gotten the value you were looking for, we will be glad to refund your registration fee. We do ask that you participate fully in the program, however, before deciding to request a refund. Fitness is not achieved without effort and participation; we ask that you apply that to the program as well.  

What if I need more support?  

This program does not include 1:1 coaching. If you have specific training questions we can arrange for a private Skype or Zoom session at an additional fee, or we have a handful of spots for separate, private monthly coaching.  

Does the program include videos of the workouts themselves? 

Not currently, but we are testing that in the live-coached version of the program and may add it to RowReady on Demand in the future.
